I «Den danske dikteren» grunner fortelleren over slike spørsmål mens vi legger ut på en ferietur til Norge sammen med Kaspar, en poet hvis kreative brønn har løpt tørr. Is it possible to trace the chain of events that led to our own birth? Is our existence just coincidence? Do little things matter? In «The Danish Poet» the narrator ponders these questions as we embark on a holiday trip to Norway with Kaspar, a poet whose creative well has run dry.

Torill Kove jobber som animatør, manusforfatter og regissør hos National Film Board i Canada. Hun har tidligere laget kortfilmen «Min bestemor strøk kongens skjorter» (1999), som fikk vid distribusjon og mange priser (bl.a. Timeglasset i Grimstad i 1999 og Oscarnominert i 2000). Torill har utgitt en bok med samme tittel, og hun har illustrert barnebøkene om Johannes Jensen. Torill Kove works as an animator, screenwriter and director for the National Film Board of Canada. She has previously made the short «My Grandmother Ironed the King´s Shirts» (1999), which was widely distributed and won many prizes (including the Hourglass Award in Grimstad in 1999¤#% it was also nominated for an Oscar in 2000). Torill has published a book of the same name, and she has illustrated the children´s books about Johannes Jensen.
