Gjennom lagvise bilder får vi et glimt av fortiden, samtidig som materialet krakelerer. Dybden i bildet ligger i overflaten. We call it civilisation, the process in which traditional values inevitably make way for new ones. «Endless» provides a meditative yet concrete commentary on this process. The layered image provides a glimpse of the past, while the material is also attacked by erosion. The depth of the image sits on the surface of this film.

Wenhua Shi (f. 1973, Wuhan) Etter endt legeutdannelse begynte han å arbeide med radio og tv i Wuhan, Kina. Han reiste til Colorado i 2000 og studerte med Stan Brakhage og Phil Solomon. Begynte å lage film ved Colorado universitet i Boulder og University of California, Berkeley. Andre kortfilmer: «Waking from Spring Dreams» (2003), «Red Blue» (2004), «One and the Same» (2005), «Crimson Haze» (2005). Wenhua Shi , originally trained as a doctor in China, departed from the medical field and began working in radio and TV in his hometown of Wuhan. At the end of 2000, he came to Colorado studying with the experimental Film giant Stan Brakhage and Phil Solomon, started making films and exploring film as a medium at the University of Colorado at Boulder and University of California,at Berkeley
